As Addo becomes the destination of choice to more and more visitors, De Ridder Tours has increase the company's available tour schedule to cater for this influx (Addo Elephant National Park registered record tourism figures 2006-2007, a 15.02% increase)
We are constantly on the lookout for new tour destinations which would complement our existing tour portfolio. A new addition is the Bushmansand’s Golf Tour, which includes a round on the 18-hole championship course which was designed by South African golfing legend, Gary Player. The course follows the banks of the Bushman’s and New Years Rivers, resembling the game's earliest "links" courses
in Scotland with undulating fairways and pot
bunkers.
Unique features include playing the first
stroke over the active railway line, a
double green (1600 sq.m) shared
by the 2nd and 5th
holes, crossing the
Bushman’s River and
New Year’s River on
various holes and finishing
with a final drive over a small
cemetery in the centre of the fairway.
A challenging yet friendly course,
enjoyed by all golfers.

celebrated its 75th Year anniversary in
style with the Minister of Environmental
Affairs & Tourism as the guest of honour.
The celebrations included the official
opening of the southern access road that
links Camp Matyholweni to the main game area
and Main Camp of the Park, as well as the
opening of a new underground hide.
