In 1931 the Addo Elephant National Park (about 5 000 ha) was proclaimed when there were only eleven elephants left. The area was inadequately fenced and the movement of elephants continued to cause problems on surrounding Addo farmland. Elephants were killed as a result of conflicts with farmers and collisions with trains.
This is the story of the Addo Elephants and the place they call home... The Addo Elephant Nattional Park.
